COVID-19 again dominates debate in Sask legislature

Debate in the Saskatchewan legislature centred on covid-19 again Wednesday.

Opposition leader Ryan Meili called on the Moe government to take more temporary restrictive steps to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

Premier Scott Moe says he is following the advice of the provinces senior medical health officer and will review the added measures introduced at the end of November on December 17th.

Moe says it is unlikely the province will lift the restrictions imposed in late November to limit the spread of covid-19 because of the ongoing numbers.

Moe says he will make a final decision on December 17th but it is unlikely the latest restrictions will be lifted.

Meantime, he says the first couple thousand vaccines will be rolling out next week in Saskatchewan.
