SWAT search warrant leads to multiple firearm charges for Regina man

A search warrant at a Regina home has resulted in 19 firearms-related charges against a 42-year-old man.

Members of the Regina Police Service Street Gang Unit executed the search warrant on Tuesday at the 1900 block of St. John Street connected to an ongoing investigation into firearms trafficking. A statement by RPS states that a request was made for the SWAT unit to conduct the search.

Police found a shotgun, handgun, ammunition for both firearms and significant quantities of other ammunition during the search.

Jeremy Martin Hill of Regina is facing multiple charges including two counts of careless storage of a firearm and nine counts of possessing a weapon contrary to a prohibition order.

Hill made his first court appearance on these charges on Wednesday morning.
