On Friday night, around 11:00 pm, Regina Police observed a stolen vehicle on the 1600 block of Ottawa Street.
A tire deflation device was deployed at Montreal Street and Saskatchewan Drive and the vehicle came to a rest nearby.
The driver and one passenger abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. After a short foot pursuit, police took custody of the driver.
The passenger was not located.
23-year-old Dalton Heska-Lupanko has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime, and 2 counts of failing to comply with a condition of a release order.
Heska-Lupanko will make his first appearance in court on April 15th.
