Sask farming company fined 20 thousand dollars under occupational health and safety act

Saskatchewan company K. Haeusler Farms has been fined a total of 20 thousand dollars in Humboldt provincial court for violating two counts under the occupational health and safety act.

The charges stem from an incident that occurred on August 29th, 2019 near Muenster.

A worker became pinched between a skid shack and the bucket of a tracked hoe, resulting in serious injuries.

The charges involve failing to notify the agency of the accident and failing to ensure worker safety.
