Most of southern Saskatchewan remains under a Winter Storm Warning Tuesday morning, as a clipper system makes its way through the province.
Regina, Moose Jaw, Swift Current, Kindersley, Wynyard and Humboldt are all under the warning, along with many other areas in the southern part of Saskatchewan.
In the southeast corner, including Assiniboia, Weyburn, Estevan and Carlyle, winter Storm warnings have been dropped, however Blowing Snow Advisories are in effect.
Snowfall totals are expected to be between 10-25 cm, with the heaviest accumulations still centered generally between the Trans-Canada and Yellowhead Highways.
Regina is forecasted to see about 20 cm when all is said in done, with Moose Jaw closer to 25 cm.
Along with heavy snow, strong northerly winds of 50 km/h are expected to develop with this system, leading to a visibility reduction in blowing snow. The strong winds will first develop over western sections of the province Tuesday morning, and track eastward throughout the day.
Freezing rain is also possible closer to the U.S border, where temperatures continue to be more mild.
Highway conditions are expected to be hazardous and are expected to change quickly thanks to strong winds and blowing snow.
Conditions will improve from west to east throughout Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
