Bison Transport purchased by Richardson

Richardson has made a major investment in the trucking business.

The agri-food company is purchasing Bison Transport—both companies have head offices in Winnipeg.

Bison Transport has an extensive North American network with 3,700 employees, 2,100 truck and 6,000 trailers.

Richardson says the deal will not result in any changes to Bison operations, which has six main hubs, including one in Regina.

Financial terms of the deal were not made public.
