The Roughriders have signed their first round selection from the 2020 CFL Draft.

Offensive lineman Mattland Riley was taken seventh overall in last year’s draft. Riley spent four years at the University of Saskatchewan where he played in 31 games for the Huskies.

The Melfort product was named a two-time Canada West All-Star and a U SPORTS first-team all-Canadian and won the Hardy Cup with the Huskies in 2017.

In 2018, he played for Team West in the U SPORTS East-West Bowl.
