Saskatchewan Polytechnic has launched a new farm mental health initiative.
The Polytechnic research chair for rural health, Michelle Pavloff, says the goal is to set up a farm mental health support system after hearing from dozens of Saskatchewan farmers about what is needed for such support.
Pavloff is hoping to talk to 50 farmers to develop the mental health support initiative.
The first phase will run until this fall and further development continues into 2022.
