Time is running out on improvements to the agristability support plan for 2020.
Federal agriculture minister Marie-Claude Bibeau says she needs two-thirds of the provinces to agree to the proposed enhancements to agristability.
Bibeau wants a decision by the end of the month to enable the improvements to be retroactive to 2020.
Saskatchewan is concerned about the cost of the enhancements and still has not made a final decision.
Ottawa is pushing for a response to an offer to remove the reference margin limit and increase the compensation rate from 70 to 80 percent.
Bibeau made her comments during a virtual meeting of Manitoba’s Keystone Agriculture Producers.
