A farmer at Shaunavon had a rare experience this month.
Kelly Oberle had triplet calves twice in the span of one week.
The odds of one triplet birth is 1 in 100 thousand.
Oberle says the calves are in good health.
He was surprised, saying it has never happened at his farm.
To keep the calves healthy as they grow older, he says there are two options.
He says he may have to buy a nurse cow, a holstein, or put a calf on a cow that had a dead calf.
The sets of triplet calves were born January 20th and 27th.
