Officials and organizations across North America have taken the opportunity this week to urge people to continue obeying public health orders during Super Bowl festivities this weekend, including the Regina Police Service.
“This Super Bowl Sunday, put your money on your team – not into a ticket for violating the Public Health Order,” reads a statement by Regina Police.
RPS is reminding both citizens and businesses to follow health guidelines on game day. They are also warning the public that police will be keeping a close eye on gatherings during the weekend.
“Our officers will be out in the community with officials from the Saskatchewan Health Authority to ensure establishments are following government guidelines and residents are keeping gatherings within limits laid out in the Public Health Order,” continues the release from RPS.
“Large events, holidays, gatherings and celebrations pose a temptation to get together with friends and extended family, but please remember: we all have a responsibility when it comes to community health and safety.”
