It shouldn’t come as a surprise to hear a new record for gas usage has been set by SaskEnergy.

The company says from 9 a.m Monday morning to 9 a.m this (Tuesday)morning, people in the province used 1.57 petajoules breaking the record of 1.55 set in January of 2020.

Its the eighth winter in a row that the province has matched or broken the record for natural gas usage.
