The active COVID-19 case count in Saskatchewan continues going down.
Numbers from the province on Wednesday show 124 new cases and 189 recoveries putting the active case count number at 1,541.
Of those 1,541, 340 are in the Regina zone.
Sadly, there are five more deaths to announce which brings the provincial total to 362. One of the five was someone in their 30’s from the Saskatoon, one was in their 50’s from the Regina zone and three aged 80 plus from the Northwest, Regina and Saskatoon zone.
The new cases are located in the Far North West (16), Far North Central (4), Far North East (5), North West (14), North Central (12), Saskatoon (9), Central West (5), Central East (3), Regina (48), South Central (1) and seven (7) new cases have pending residence information.
178 people are in hospital with 23 of those 178 in intensive care including eight in Regina.
The seven-day daily average is now at 160 or 13.0 new cases per 100,000 population.
There were only 271 COVID-19 vaccines delivered on Tuesday meaning 50,326 people have received a shot so far.
1,800 tests were processed in Saskatchewan on Tuesday meaning just over 549,000 tests have been done since the pandemic started.
