It’s been a long day for some in Moose Jaw after a water main break in the western part of the city.

The city says that break which affects around 500 properties means those on the 1400 block of Caribou Street West are without water for an undetermined period with the hope being service will be restored by the end of the day. Those on the 1400 and 1500 blocks of Hochelaga Street West without water until at least Friday.  As a result, a water trailer is being provided for those people.

A water main break in the west part of Moose Jaw has left numerous residents without water this morning.

Homes on the 1400 block of Caribou Street West along with residents on 14th Avenue Northwest between Caribou and Stadacona are currently without water as city crews work to repair the damage.

The city says about 500 properties are being affected by the break.

Properties on the 1400 and 1500 blocks of Hochelaga Street West are expected to be without running water until Friday. The city will be providing a water trailer for residents today.
