Man pronounced dead in single vehicle rollover near McLean

Just before noon Saturday, White Butte RCMP responded to a single vehicle collision just west of McLean.

When officers arrived, EMS was already on scene. The 63-year-old male driver, and sole occupant of the vehicle, was found unconscious. Paramedics attempted life-saving measures, even calling STARS Air Ambulance for assistance. The man was pronounced dead on scene.

Initial investigation revealed the driver attempted to steer his car out of the ditch between the two lanes of the highway, which caused the vehicle to rollover.

One lane of the highway going each direction was closed for several hours as the investigation was being conducted. The highway was cleared, and traffic returned to normal at about 6:00 pm Saturday.

Police continue their investigation into the collision.
