Feeder cattle prices across Saskatchewan were moving upward again during the past week.

The latest provincial weekly summary shows the largest feeder steer price increase was in the 400 to 500 pound weight category, increasing 8 dollars 53 cents per hundredweight, reaching 253 dollars 38 cents.

The weekly average steer price was 217 dollars 15 cents per hundredweight.

Feeder heifers were also on the rise with the largest increase of 9 dollars per hundredweight in the 500 to 600 pound weight category, with an average price of 199 dollars per hundredweight.
