SaskPower customers are again falling victim to a scam, this time in relation to the Saskatchewan Economic Recovery Rebate.

The Crown Corporation says someone has called customers requesting access to their homes to sign them up for the rebate. SaskPower has indicated these individuals do not represent the province, and are likely collecting this information for illegal purposes.

SaskPower is advising customers not to share any personal information if they receive a call like this, and to call SaskPower customer service or local law enforcement.

A scam similar to this took place in December of last year, where the scammers were going door-to-door collecting similar information.
