Two men facing several charges after stealing vehicle

Early last week, Regina Police began an investigation into the theft of a white 2019 Acura ILX, taken from the 5800 block of Rochdale Boulevard.

On Saturday morning, around 3:05, police located the stolen Acura on the 600 block of 14th Avenue. Two suspects were arrested and taken into custody without incident.

An immediate search of the suspects and the vehicle revealed two firearms, ammunition, and drugs including cocaine and fentanyl.

Kyle Troy Rory Tony has been charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000, proceeds of crime under $5,000, 3 counts of possession contrary to order, breach of release order, possession of drugs, possession of a firearm knowing it’s been tampered with, 2 counts of possession of a weapon obtained by crime, 2 counts of possession of a prohibited firearm, 2 counts of possession of a firearm knowing its unauthorized, 2 counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm, 2 counts of carrying a concealed weapon, 2 counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Jonathan Carlos Anaquod has been charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000, and possession contrary to order.

Both suspects are being held for court on Monday morning.
