151 new COVID-19 cases in Saskatchewan with Regina continuing to see high numbers

The province is reporting 154 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday and 146 recoveries . The Regina region has almost a third of the new cases with 53.  In all, Regina now has 497 of the 1,551 active cases in Saskatchewan.

Besides the 53 new cases in the Regina region, the other new cases are located in the Far North West (12), Far North Central (3), Far North East (5), North West (14), North Central (10), North East (2), Saskatoon (33), Central West (1), Central East (14),  and South East (2) zones.

There were no deaths meaning the provincial total stands at 385. Of those 385, 81 occurred in February.

151 people are in hospital with 130 getting inpatient care including 33 in Regina and another 21 receiving intensive care including 9 in Regina.

The seven-day daily average now sits at 143 or 11.6  new cases per 100,000 population.

1,741 tests were processed on Sunday.  That is the lowest daily total since early January.

356 vaccines were administered on Sunday in the northwest and north-central zones.  In all, 79,289 vaccines have been handed out.
