Make it back-to-back Canadian Championships for Kerri Einarson, who defeated Rachel Homan and Ontario 9-7 in the Scotties final Sunday night.

Homan led 3-2 after the fourth end, but Einarson and Canada took three in the fifth and never trailed after that, despite a tie going into the final end.

Einarson becomes the first repeat winner since Homan in 2013/14.

It was also the first time in Scotties history that two skips met in the finals two years in a row, as Einarson beat Homan in the 2020 Scotties final in Moose Jaw.

Attention now turns to the men, as the Brier is set to begin in the same Calgary bubble on Friday.

Saskatchewan will be skipped by Regina’s Matt Dunstone.
