Big Wednesday coming up for Dunstone at Brier

Matt Dunstone’s rink, representing the Wadena Curling Club, will likely find themselves in the championship pool once pool play wraps up on Thursday.  He will go into a Wednesday morning game against the wildcard team skipped by Kevin Koe needing a win to not only keep hopes of first place in the pool alive, but to hand Koe and his Calgary team their first defeat as well.

On Tuesday, Dunstone played once defeating Quebec’s Mike Fournier by a score of 9-6.  A four in the fourth gave Saskatchewan control of the game.  Team Saskatchewan is now 4-1.

After the matchup against Koe, which will be on TSN starting at 9:30, Dunstone will meet Prince Edward Island’s Eddie MacKenzie in the evening draw.

The top four rinks in each pool after Thursday’s play move into the championship pool with the top three moving into playoffs on the weekend.
