Regina’s Circle Project raising money for new building

A Regina organization is looking to raise money as it moves into a new building this year.

The Circle Project Association is in the process of renovating an old Conexus Credit Union building into a Community and Cultural Hub in Regina’s North Central.

Executive Director Ann Perry says the building, on the corner of 5th and Elphinstone, will allow the organization to serve the community better.

“We obviously have selected that area of the city because that is one of the most hard-pressed areas in the city, and most of the people that we serve are from that area,” said Perry. “So, our relocation there makes sense.”

With a proposed move-in date of September, Perry says there a lot of work to do before the building is ready.

She hopes to see the community rally around the new building.

“We want to share with others, and part of our vision is that this is built by the community, for the community.”

Perry says the new building will allow for increased programming aimed at helping victims of domestic violence and helping to eliminate homelessness.

Circle Project is hoping to raise $1 million dollars. There are variety of ways to help out, people can donate directly online, or by participating in the organization’s 50/50 draw.
