Three deaths and 176 new COVID-19 cases being reported in Saskatchewan

Three more people in Saskatchewan have died as a result of COVID-19.

The daily update from the government shows two of the people who died were in their 70’s and were from the Regina and Southcentral zone with the other in their 50’s from the Saskatoon region.

This brings the provincial death toll to 404.

There are 176 new cases with Regina once again having the most at 67. The other new cases are located in the Far North West (1), Far North Central (1), Far North East (10), North West (16), North Central (11), North East (8), Saskatoon (31), Central East (18), South West (3), South Central (2) and South East (2) zones.

129 people are in hospital with 27 of those in intensive care.

2,990 tests were processed in Saskatchewan on Thursday.

The seven-day daily average is now 134 or 11.0 new cases per 100,000 population.

2,692 vaccines were handed out on Thursday bringing the total amount to 98,571. Most of the doses were administered in the north-central, Saskatoon and Regina zones.
