Water service to Coronach restored

A “do not use” advisory has been lifted in the town of Coronach.

The town made a decision to completely flush out the system after a break-in at the town’s water treatment plant last weekend where it was suspected the water supply may have been contaminated.

While the advisory has been lifted, people in the town are being asked not to flush their lines at once as that could result in a depressurization of the distribution system.

Citizens and businesses are being told what to do and when to do it by town officials Friday afternoon,

The town, about 200 kilometers south of Regina, near the U-S border is asking people to hold off on doing any non-essential laundry, washing or water use this weekend to conserve water and prevent any depressurization.
