Former Sask. Party MLA, Cabinet Minister accepts position with EDR

Former Sask. Party MLA for Regina-University and Cabinet Minister, Tina Beaudry-Mellor is taking her career to Economic Development Regina.

Beaudry-Mellor will be EDR’s Chief Economic Growth Officer.

She feels her background as a politician can work in her favour.

“I like to think that I’m going to take what I’ve learned in terms of working with so many different people, “Beaudry-Mellor said. “I’m also familiar with some of the plans on behalf of the province and I think that will really help in terms of situating some of the things we want to do in Regina.”

Beaudry-Mellor will lead EDR’s Agriculture and Technology and Investment Attraction strategies.

She’ll also oversee EDR’s entrepreneurship and economic gardening strategies.

As an MLA for Regina-University, Beaudry-Mellor was also the Minister of Advanced Education, Minister Responsible for the Status of Women, and Minister Responsible for Innovation Saskatchewan.
