Regina Humane Society telethon goes Sunday night

The biggest fundraiser of the year for the Regina Humane Society goes tonight as its 33rd annual telethon airs on Access Now from 6-9.

Spokesperson Bill Thorn is hoping the community can come through for the organization as they are also battling the effects of COVID-19.

“We’re confident that people will still recognize the need to help the animals,” said Thorn. “Without that support, we can’t be here. We often say the Humane Society is only as strong as the people who support it and care, and their compassion and generosity. We’re hoping that we’ll be able to connect with people on Sunday.”

The Humane Society has a fundraising goal of 65-thousand dollars.

For those that don’t subscribe to Access, the event will also be on their website and their Facebook page.
