With 105 of the 178 COVID-19 cases reported in Saskatchewan on Sunday in Regina and the immediate area, many presumed to be variants, schools in the Queen City also reported their fair share of cases.
Sixteen schools reported at least one case on Sunday.
Regina Public says single cases were identified at Ruth M. Buck School, Martin Collegiate, Plainsview School, Allan Blakeney Adult Campus, Marion McVeety School, Judge Bryant School, Glen Elm Community School, Harbour Landing School, McLurg School, Jack MacKenzie School, Balfour Collegiate and Marion McVeety School, where two cases were found.
Regina Catholic said on Sunday single cases have been identified at St. Elizabeth, St. Gabriel, St. Augustine and St. Joan of Arc.
Regina Public will switch high schools to remote learning on Wednesday, elementary schools will switch on March 29.
Regina Catholic schools will see all students move to remote learning also on March 29.
Meanwhile the AstraZeneca drive-thru clinic at Evraz Place in Regina is now open to any Saskatchewan resident 58 and older. The Saskatchewan Health Authority has now adopted the findings that the AstraZeneca vaccine is both safe and effective for those 65 and older.
The clinic is still operating daily from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 p.m. on a first come first served basis. You cannot book an appointment for the drive-thru.

It’s also been announced that fewer doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine will be coming to Saskatchewan this week because of a damaged thermal shipper.
We’re still expected to get more than 30,000 doses that were part of the same shipment in the coming days however.
The Ministry of Health and the Saskatchewan Health Authority are reviewing distribution plans to minimize any impact.
