It is safe to say players on both the University of Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs and North Dakota Fighting Hawks got a good night’s sleep on Saturday.
The two teams combined to play the longest-ever game in NCAA Tournament history with the Bulldogs eventually prevailing by a score of 3-2 in the Midwest regional final.
The game came to an end when 19-year-old Luke Mylymok from Wilcox snapped a shot past North Dakota goalie Adam Scheel just after the 5th overtime started.
