Government extends public health orders to April 12

The province says public health orders announced earlier this month will remain in effect until at least April 12.

Those measures were established March 9 with tougher restrictions being placed on the Regina region March 24 because of rising COVID-19 numbers.

During a briefing on Tuesday, Premier Scott Moe said we must continue doing what we are doing even though many are getting vaccinated so that the restrictions we are under don’t have to be tightened further.

In the Regina area, it means indoor private gatherings must only consist of  immediate households, there is to be no in-person dining at restaurants and bars with no essential travel taking place inside and outside of the city.
