On Tuesday, around 5:00 pm, Regina Police responded to a residence on the 1300 block of Horace Street, in the city’s west end, for a report of a weapons offence.
Police were told that a man had stabbed others with a knife. Police arrived and noticed extensive damage to the residence. They also attended a second residence, where the victims had relocated. They learned that a young man had assaulted them with a knife, but the victims were able to get the knife away from him, and he had since left the residence.
Police later located the man on the 1000 block of Retallack Street, where he was arrested.
A 16-year-old man, who can’t be named in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with assault with a weapon, mischief under $5,000, failure to comply with conditions of a release order, and failure to comply.
The suspect made his first appearance in court on Wednesday morning.
