WHL shuts down Kelowna Rockets after COVID-19 cases

The Kelowna Rockets have had team activities suspended until April 14 after four players and two hockey staff members tested positive for COVID-19.

The six positive test results received  follow one positive test result for COVID-19, which was received on Tuesday. All other test results from the other participating team cohorts in the BC Division hub cities came back negative.

As a result of the suspension of activities for the Kelowna Rockets, the league is postponing 10 games involving the Rockets as well as a game that had been scheduled for Wednesday night between Vancouver and Prince George. That game was postponed as an abundance of caution according to the WHL.
