The Regina Red Sox will be announcing plans for a new stadium to be built downtown on Wednesday morning
The stadium, which will seat around 3000 people and cost $12 million with that price tag going up for things like a fieldhouse and paved parking, would reportedly be built on Dewdney Avenue just off of Albert Street.
The team has entered into a memorandum of understanding with a group known as Living Sky Sports Entertainment, That is the same company that has recently signed an MOU in Saskatoon to look at refurbishing and redeveloping Marquis Downs into a soccer stadium.
The Red Sox have been using Currie Field, which has been around for 60 years, since joining what was then known as the Western Major Baseball League.
