Feeder cattle prices were showing upward movement during the past week across Saskatchewan.

The latest market report from Saskatchewan Agriculture says the largest price increase for steers was in the 700 to 800 pound category, rising 3 dollars 83 cents per hundredweight to end the week averaging $196.58 per hundredweight.

The weekly average steer price was $212.41 per hundredweight.

The largest price increase for heifers was in the 700 to 800 pound category, rising 3 dollars 12 cents to average 173 dollars per hundredweight.

The weekly average heifer price was $188.96 per hundredweight.
