Long-time Regina MP Ralph Goodale has a new job,

He has been named as Canada’s high commissioner to the United Kingdom

Being high commissioner is like being an ambassador in Commonwealth countries.

In a release from the federal government, it says Goodale will be called upon to provide “strategic advice” to Prime Minister Trudeau on relations iwth the United Kingdom.

Goodale represented the federal riding of Regina-Wascana starting in 1993. He was defeated in the last federal election by Conservative MP Michael Kram.
