Services at Saskatchewan Blue Cross interrupted by cybersecurity incident

Saskatchewan Blue Cross says an investigation is underway after what is being called a cybersecurity incident last week.

At this time, the company does not know if any private information from members was accessed but experts are working on finding whether or not that happened at this time.

The company says it experienced a system outage on on April 20 and that once unusual activity was noticed, key systems and services were pulled.

Phone lines and the member portal are currently down with no known timeframe as to when they will return.

Saskatchewan Blue Cross has more than 130,000 members.
