Parking support extended once again in downtown Regina

Parking support is being extended in downtown Regina until May 24.

The city of Regina stated on Friday that drivers will not need to pay at parking meters during the suspension. However enforcement of the two-hour limit for parking meters will continue.

“Drivers who park at a meter for longer than two hours will be ticketed. Should you need to stay downtown for longer than two hours, remember to move your car to another block, park at an off-street location or use public transit,” reads the city’s release.

Enforcement will also be in effect for vehicles that stay parked on city roads and streets for longer than 24 hours.

The move is to support downtown businesses offering curbside pickup to align with provincial health measures.
