Regina Police say a pedestrian suffered serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle in east Regina Friday morning.

Emergency crews were called to the intersection of 9th Avenue East and Rothwell Street.

As of 10:30 a.m. 9th Avenue east from Lacon Street to Rothwell Street has been shut down to traffic in both directions.

Emergency Medical Services has transported the pedestrian to the Regina General Hospital.

The investigation is ongoing, anyone with more information is asked to call Regina Police or Crime Stoppers.
