Regina man facing impaired driving charges after Friday morning collision

A man is in custody after a two-vehicle collision involving a pedestrian in the city’s east end Thursday.

On Friday, just before 10:00 am, Regina Police responded a motor vehicle collision involving two vehicles and a pedestrian on 9th Avenue East and Rothwell Street.

Investigation determined a Chevy Silverado was travelling westbound on 9th Avenue when it collided head on with a Mazda 3 parked on the south side of the street, which in turn struck a pedestrian standing near the Mazda.

A 39-year-old man was transported to hospital with serious injuries. Information is that the victim is in stable condition.

Upon further investigation, the driver of the Silverado, 23-year-old Dylan Grigg, was charged with Impaired Driving Causing Bodily Harm.

Grigg will make his first court appearance on June 2nd.
