RPS say tips on website lead to COVID fines being issued

Regina Police say they now know  the identities of 17 people who were captured on video footage inside the Cornwall Centre not wearing a mask.

The identities of eight of those people came from tips from the public after a webpage with their photos were attached earlier this month.

A large group of maskless people entered the mall April 24 after a downtown rally was held featuring those against the COVID-19 restrictions we are under. Its believed the group were also attendees at the rally.

Police say a number of fines have been issued, but won’t say how many.

The website showing images of the maskless people inside the downtown shopping centre has now been taken down.
