Regina man charged after early morning 911 call

Early Saturday morning, around 4:00 am, Regina Police responded to a residence on the 1200 block of Retallack Street for a 911 call.

The caller said three men were inside the residence with guns. Police attended and surrounded the residence and made contact with those inside and requested they come out one at a time.

One man was arrested on weapons charges. An investigation of the man’s backpack revealed a loaded firearm and ammunition.

44-year-old Joseph Pelletier has been charged with 6 counts of possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order, possession of a firearm knowing its unauthorized, and carrying a concealed weapon.

Pelletier is set to make his first court appearance Monday morning.
