Regina-based Viterra has announced a $100,000 matching gift to the food banks of Saskatchewan.

The Vice President of Corporate Affairs at Viterra, Jeff Cockwill, says this month Viterra will match all financial donations to the food banks in the province up to 100 thousand dollars.

“It’s a great way to turn 50 bucks into 100 bucks, which will help feed two families for one week, instead of a single family,” said Cockwill. “So, this is a wonderful way to encourage people to help donate where they can, and we’re happy to match that donation.”

Donations to the Grow Your Donation with Viterra campaign will be distributed to 36 food banks across Saskatchewan.

Donors can also direct their donation directly to one of the registered food banks.
