Sean McEachern named as Ralph Goodale’s replacement in Regina-Wascana riding

We now know who is Ralph Goodale’s successor as the Liberal candidate in the riding of Regina-Wascana.

Sean McEachern has been acclaimed to the position. McEachern, who was a special assistant to Goodale when he was the federal finance minister, has also served with SUMA and has been the president of both the University of Regina Alumni Association and Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.

Goodale, who is now Canada’s high commissioner to the United Kingdom, resigned from federal politics shortly after being defeated by Conservative Michael Kram in the last federal election. He had been the MP in that riding since 1993.
