Former Premier Brad Wall sees strong growth in Sask. agriculture

Former premier Brad Wall sees a bright future for agriculture in Saskatchewan.

In a feature interview for Canada’s Farm Show event last week, Wall says the outlook is based on prices and worldwide demand for food.

Wall also pointed to Saskatchewan for meat shipments, noting the province has the third largest beef herd in Canada.

He also noted new crushing plants for canola in Saskatchewan, reflecting growing demand for biofuel as well as food.

He also says the pandemic focused attention on the importance of food security for many foreign markets.
