Saskatoon Police looking for suspect in attack on Muslim man

Saskatoon Police are looking for information after a man was assaulted early Friday morning.

Police report responding to the 2900 block of Preston Avenue South for a report of a serious assault, where a 32 year-old man was assessed at the scene.  He was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to multiple reports the 32 year old is now believed to have been targeted because he is Muslim.

The Serious Assault Unit is investigating with support from the Equity and Cultural Engagement Unit.  Police ask anyone with information to contact the Saskatoon Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
