Minimum wage for federally regulated workers moving to $15 per hour

Minimum wage is going up for federally regulated workers.

Come December 29th, Ottawa says it will be raised to $15 per hour.

The government says this is following through with a promise in the 2021 budget and an attempt to keep up with inflation, while reducing poverty and inequality.

Most businesses in Saskatchewan operate under provincial labour laws.

It’s not known at this time if the provincial government will make the same change.
