WEATHER ALERT: Heat Warnings and Air Quality Advisories spread across Sask. Wednesday

Heat Warnings are in place across much of Saskatchewan Wednesday, as a ridge of high pressure that will create another heat dome begins to move in.

Included in the warning are Saskatoon, Prince Albert, the Battlefords, and Swift Current.

Environment Canada is forecasting daytime high temperatures for most of the province to be in the mid 30’s, with overnight lows in the high teens, for the rest of this week and into next week.

The heat warnings will be expanded to include all of southern and central Saskatchewan within the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile, Air Quality Advisories thanks to smoke from wildfires, has been expanded to now include parts of central Saskatchewan.

As of Tuesday afternoon 107 fires are burning in the province, 29 are currently considered not contained.

As of 5:00 a.m. Wednesday, Regina and Moose Jaw are not included in any of the advisories or warnings.
