Livestock producers in Sask seek more drought aid

Livestock producers in Saskatchewan will meet this week with the provincial minister of Agriculture to discuss more drought aid.

Saskatchewan Cattlemen’s Association chair Arnold Balicki says producers need support to ensure they have sufficient supplies this summer to avoid a herd sell-off.

Balicki says Agriculture minister David Marit has done a good job providing measures to ensure poor crops can be used as livestock feed and funding to develop water supplies.

But he feels more is needed.
