Agriculture Minister David Marit is looking at several options for additional farm drought aid.
Marit says the province has asked Ottawa to implement Agri-recovery.
That could lead to support for possible items like costs of hauling water or setting up temporary grazing fences around drought-stricken crops.
But he needs more information to determine what would be covered since Agri-Recovery is designed to provide support for non-insurable costs.
Marit says Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario have also asked Ottawa to introduce the Agri-recovery program.
He met with farm leaders Tuesday and holds another meeting Thursday on drought aid.
