51 new cases of COVID-19 in Sask; 2 new deaths

There are 51 new cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan, bringing the provincial total to 49,608 cases.

Most of the new cases come from the Far North West with 10, followed by the Far North Central and Far North East with 8. Regina’s total is 5.

In addition to the new cases, two new deaths were reported today. One person was in the 50 to 59 age group from Regina, the other person was in the 60 to 69 age range from the North East.

48,719 people have recovered from the virus and 312 cases are considered active.

64 people are  in hospital. 54 are receiving inpatient care and 10 are in intensive care.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 34

An additional 8,204 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,374,210.
