Fully vaccinated U.S. travellers welcome back to Canada

Canada is welcoming back U.S. citizens and permanent residents who are fully vaccinated today for non-essential travel for the first time in 17 months.

While Canada has lifted restrictions on U.S. travellers, the U.S. has not yet lifted restrictions on Canadian travellers looking to head south of the 49th parallel.

Eligible U.S. visitors must be fully vaccinated at least 14 days before their trip, and must have received a Health-Canada approved vaccine. They must also provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test that’s no more than 72 hours old.

Canada is currently looking at allowing non-essential travellers from the rest of the world as of September 7.
